Dobrodíy

Garlic variety Dobrodíy is included in the State Register of Plant Varieties of Ukraine and is one of the popular winter varieties adapted to local climatic conditions. This medium-maturing variety has a vegetation period of 105-110 days and a flowering form. The bulb has a broad-elliptical shape with slight elongation upwards, contains 5-6 large cloves, arranged compactly. The dry garlic skin is white, fairly thick and dense, and the leaves are long, broad and semi-erect, which contributes to good plant growth. Variety Dobrodíy is widely used for industrial garlic cultivation and breeding. To achieve high yield and product quality, it is important not only to select the right variety but also to follow the cultivation technology, including preparation of planting material. Planting material must be carefully calibrated and prepared, which significantly affects the success of cultivation and the quality of the final product. To improve the quality and size of garlic heads, it is recommended to apply potassium monophosphate before harvest. This fertilizer promotes better conversion of stored plastic substances into the bulb, increasing head size and improving garlic storage quality during winter. It is recommended to use 20 grams of potassium monophosphate per 10 liters of water, thoroughly mix the solution and evenly distribute it over the soil surface. It is important to stop watering two weeks before harvest to stimulate nutrient translocation from leaves to bulbs and ensure optimal harvest quality.
