Description GOLDEN PRIZE
Physalis 'Golden Prize' is an edible variety characterized by compact bushes about 30–35 cm tall and high yields ranging from 0.3 to 0.5 kg per bush. The fruits are round, weighing 5–10 g, bright yellow when ripe, and retain the aroma of strawberry and pineapple. They are juicy, sour-sweet, and suitable for both fresh consumption and making jam, candied fruit, or raisins.

The plant responds well to regular watering and fertilization with organic and mineral fertilizers, preferring sunny locations and fertile soil. Fruits are located in the leaf axils and ripen gradually; after harvesting, they can be stored for 2–3 months, or, if desired, used for pickling, marinating, or making jam.

The variety is resistant to diseases and pests, making it convenient for both home gardens and decorative landscaping. Due to the bright husk surrounding the fruit, it can also serve as a decoration for interiors and winter compositions.
