BELL PHYSALIS

Physalis 'Bell' is a mid-season variety that can be grown as an annual or a perennial crop. The plant is semi-prostrate, highly branched, reaches a height of up to 100 cm, and its fruits are orange in color, flat-round in shape, and weigh between 7 and 10 grams. The fruits have a sour-sweet taste, making them suitable for both fresh consumption and processing: pickling, jam making, and candying.

The variety is characterized by high tolerance to unfavorable growing conditions and good cold hardiness. Physalis 'Bell' can grow successfully both in open ground and in home conditions. For planting, prepared seeds are used, which are sown into the soil after germination. After seedlings appear, the plants require regular watering and fertilization to maintain growth and fruiting.

Physalis fruits have a high concentration of vitamin C and are a low-calorie product, making them beneficial for healthy eating. Due to their decorative appeal and cold resistance, this variety is often used in flower beds, winter bouquets, and mixed borders, where it delights the eye with its bright orange fruits.
