The cotton variety "PRICASPISKIY 1" belongs to the species Gossypium hirsutum L. and is characterized by a cylindrical plant shape, medium height, and a conical stem structure. The leaves have a palmate shape with moderate density, and they possess gossypol glands and nectaries, which contribute to attracting pollinators.
Floristic features include cream-tinted flower petals and an oval capsule in longitudinal section. The capsule is of medium size, open, has interrupted ridges on the surface, and the pedicel maintains medium length. The vegetative period is 115–125 days, which allows planning sowing and harvesting in accordance with climatic conditions.
Fiber quality is characterized by medium length (32.4–35.2 mm) and moderate strength, linear density around 170 mteks. Fiber yield reaches 35.5–37.8 %, and specific load is 36.7 g/tex. The mass of raw material in one capsule is 5.5–6.1 g, while the total cotton raw material yield ranges from 16.9 to 30.2 c/ha, and domestic collections range from 70.3 % to 90 %. Seeds of medium size yield a mass of 1000 seeds within 105.5–120 g and a seed yield of about 10.5–20.3 c/ha.
The variety is resistant to gommosis and verticillium wilt, and also demonstrates low susceptibility to spider mites and aphids. It is suitable for mechanized harvesting and can be grown in the arid zone of the North Caucasus with drip irrigation at a planting density of 110,000 plants per hectare.
