Dessert physalis is an early-ripening variety that matures within 90‑98 days after full germination. The plant is upright and moderately branched, lightly foliated, reaching up to 70 cm in height, making it convenient for cultivation in limited spaces.

The fruits are small, flat-round, and orange in color (acquiring a yellowish tint at full maturity). They have a high total sugar content – from 4.07% to 4.7%, allowing them to be used both fresh and for preparing various canned products. The fruits have a sweet-sour taste with a distinct strawberry and pineapple aroma.

Yield reaches 0.7 kg/m², and the plant is characterized by good tolerance to extreme growing conditions. Due to these characteristics, physalis is suitable both for fresh consumption and for processing: pickles, jam, caviar, dried fruits, and other sweet products.
