Description ANANASOVYI
Physalis ananas – this is a herbaceous, mid-ripening plant of the Solanaceae family that attracts not only with its bright appearance but also with its characteristic aroma reminiscent of pineapple. The fruits are small, bright amber in color, with sugar and acid content close to garden strawberries, which makes them especially valuable for gourmets.

Dried physalis berries “Ananas” look like raisins and have excellent gelling properties. They are used in cooking as a preparation for making marmalade, jam, compotes, candied fruits, and fruit candies. Freshly squeezed juice has an orange color and taste, and the berries can be eaten fresh.

For cultivation, it is recommended to use the seedling method: seeds germinate at a temperature of about +18 °C, and seedlings are planted after the threat of frost has passed. The plant loves light, is drought-resistant, and prefers loose soils rich in organic matter. There is no need for pinching – fruits form on lateral shoots. Physalis ananas is resistant to pests and fungal diseases, which makes it convenient in terms of agricultural technology.
