Sowing seeds is done in open ground at a depth of 2 to 5 cm after preliminary soaking for swelling. The optimal temperature for seed germination is 12-15°C, and for plant growth and development is 20-25°C. Seedlings are sensitive to frost, so it is recommended to place the crop on well-warmed, water-permeable, loamy, and limed soils. Care for plants includes timely watering, loosening, weeding, and feeding, which contributes to maintaining the health and high productivity of the crop. To obtain a stable yield, it is necessary to consider possible diseases and pests characteristic of beans. Among the main diseases, root rots, ascochitis, gray mold, powdery mildew, downy mildew, and rust are noted. Of the pests, the most dangerous is the seedling fly.
