Philon — a high-yielding, mid-early variety; enters fruiting stage on day 115–125 after emergence. The plant is vigorous and densely branched. Plant height — 150 cm (spring greenhouses) — 200 cm (winter greenhouses). Planting density — 3 plants/m². Fruits are egg-shaped, dark purple, smooth, heavy, on short pedicels, weighing 500–1000 g, measuring 10–15×15–20 cm; flesh is white and very firm. Spines are very rare. Fruits have high flavor quality and are suitable for frying in slices and rounds. Resistant to tobacco mosaic virus. Recommended for cultivation in winter, spring heated, and unheated greenhouses.
