The 'Bartok' eggplant variety is an early-maturing, high-yielding hybrid, distinguished by its excellent taste and resistance to various diseases. The plant is semi-spreading, tall, with an open form, facilitating harvest. The stem has weak anthocyanic pigmentation and slight pubescence, while the leaf blade is medium-sized, green, and slightly wrinkled. This variety is recommended for cultivation in polyethylene and glass greenhouses, as well as under polyethylene covers in private plots, as confirmed by its inclusion in the State Register of the Russian Federation since 2018. The 'Bartok' eggplant fruits have a glossy dark-purple skin and a teardrop or pear shape, with average weight ranging from 180-200 g to 350-370 g depending on growing conditions. The flesh is light-colored with a greenish tint, dense, nearly seedless, and free of bitterness, making them ideal for preparing various dishes. The fruit calyx is adorned with sparse spines, and the fruits themselves exhibit high marketability and an attractive appearance. The 'Bartok' variety is characterized by high resistance to phytophthora, fungal diseases, and blossom end rot throughout the season. For successful cultivation, use fertile, well-drained soils with neutral pH and ensure regular watering without waterlogging. The yield of marketable fruits in polyethylene greenhouses reaches 5.0-6.0 kg per square meter, making this hybrid attractive for professional production and farming operations across various regions of Russia.
