HALF-DRA

Eggplant Half-Dra is a medium-maturing variety with a maturation period of about 115 days, intended for growing in film-covered greenhouses and greenhouses. The plant is of medium height, semi-spreading, with a height of about 70-80 cm. A feature of the variety is the absence of thorns on the fruit calyx, which facilitates harvest collection and processing. The fruits have an oval-pesiform shape, a glossy surface, and are colored white with lilac-pink streaks. The average fruit weight is about 225 grams, the flesh is tender, white, without bitterness, which ensures excellent taste qualities.

Growing eggplant Half-Dra begins with sowing for seedlings in late February, followed by pricking out in the cotyledon stage. Seedling planting is carried out in late May, observing a planting scheme of 40x60 cm. To form the plant, it is recommended to remove all side shoots and leaves up to the first fork, and by the end of July to leave on the plant 5-6 of the largest fruits, removing the rest of the flowers and fruits. This approach contributes to an increase in commercial yield, which reaches 5.5 kg per square meter.

The variety is characterized by resistance to verticillium wilt and a long fruiting period.
