Dill of the Vityaz variety is a mid-season variety with a strong aroma and large leaves of grayish-green color with a slight waxy coating. The plant reaches a height of about one meter at the flowering stage and is characterized by high yield: from one square meter, you can collect from 1.5 to 1.8 kg of greens and from 2.8 to 3.1 kg of spices. This variety is valued for its frost resistance and excellent taste qualities, which makes it universal for growing in various climatic conditions.
Vityaz is rich in useful substances, including ascorbic acid, carotene, B-group vitamins, folic acid, as well as minerals — iron, potassium, calcium, and phosphorus. Thanks to this, dill contributes to strengthening the immune system and maintaining health. It is widely used both fresh and for making sauces, dish seasonings, as well as for pickling and marinating vegetables.
For successful growing of dill Vityaz, it is recommended to plant on well-lit, fertile, and light soils with a sufficient moisture level. Seeds begin to sprout at a temperature of from 3 to 5 degrees Celsius, and seedlings tolerate spring frosts well.
