Dill HANAK

Technical Specifications of Hanak Dill

This breeding product from the Czech company Moravoseed is a professional-grade cultivar developed for commercial production. The core genetics of "Hanak" emphasize high adaptability to a wide range of growing conditions, serving as a reliable asset for agronomists supplying the fresh produce market.

Agronomic Potential

• Maturity Timeline: A flexible growing cycle ranging from 35 to 53 days allows for planned continuous harvests. Early harvesting (35 days) is ideal for tender young greens, while later harvests (up to 53 days) produce higher biomass with denser leaf texture.
• Plant Morphology: The variety features an upright leaf rosette, which is vital for mechanized harvesting and preventing contact between the edible parts of the plant and the soil. This structural design minimizes the risk of rot in lower leaves and simplifies post-harvest handling.
• Product Quality: The foliage is characterized by an intense green color and a waxy cuticle that provides resistance to moisture loss. A high aromatic profile is maintained even under intense solar radiation, a key breeding priority for Moravoseed's intensive-type varieties.

Field Application

The originator, IP Aleksashova Marina Vital'evna, ensures high-purity seed stock. In practical application, "Hanak" demonstrates resilience against environmental stressors, including temperature fluctuations during initial growth stages. Fertilizer programs should focus on balanced nitrogen application during the rapid growth phase to fully realize the leaf mass potential. Due to its well-developed root system, the cultivar responds well to consistent irrigation, which prevents premature bolting and ensures consistent product quality throughout the entire growing season.
