Cucumber TSXA 3707 F1 is a hybrid developed at the Vegetable Experimental Station named after V.I. Edelstein. This variety is recommended for cultivation in protected ground, primarily in spring greenhouses, and is characterized by medium-height plants with main stems ranging from 370 to 420 cm. Leaves are green, medium to large in size, with lobes touching at the base. Fruits have a spindle shape, 18–24 cm long and 4.5–5.9 cm in diameter, weighing 203–265 g. Their surface is slightly warty with a smooth base, and cross-sectionally, the fruit is round-triangular. The flavor of fresh cucumbers is good, making them attractive to consumers. Medium maturity and high market yield—24.2–25.5 kg/m²—ensure a stable harvest.
Hybrid TSXA 3707 has weak lateral branching, simplifying plant formation and care. However, the variety is susceptible to several diseases, including ascochytosis, root rot, and powdery mildew. Root rot is especially dangerous, affecting both seedlings and fruiting plants, causing root death and slowing growth. For prevention and control of these diseases, it is recommended to use resistant varieties and hybrids, including TSXA 3707, as well as treat seeds with microelements and bio-preparations, water with warm water, and apply timely treatments with potassium permanganate, trichodermin, and a mixture of ash, lime, and copper sulfate.
TSXA 3707 belongs to the group of medium-early and medium-maturing cucumber varieties, intended for cultivation in protected ground and under plastic coverings. Fruits of this hybrid are suitable for fresh consumption and have good flavor. Due to high yield and ease of cultivation, this variety is popular among vegetable growers seeking quality and stable cucumber harvests.
