Description Cucumber TSXA 28
Cucumber TSXA 28 F1 is a mid-season, high-yielding hybrid developed at the Vegetable Experimental Station named after V.I. Edelstein, MSXA, by employees of LLC "Seed Selection and Seed Company 'Manul'. This bee-pollinated hybrid, predominantly female-flowering, features weak or moderate branching and white, sparse fruit hairs. The fruits reach 16 to 21 cm in length, possess good flavor, and are suitable for cultivation in winter greenhouses, where fruiting begins on day 48–58 after emergence. In spring polytunnels and winter-spring rotations, the hybrid also demonstrates high yield and resistance to temperature and humidity fluctuations.

TSXA 28 is shade-tolerant and has lower heat requirements, allowing successful cultivation under limited light and moderate temperature conditions. During seedling growth, plant development is slightly slower, so sowing is recommended 3–7 days earlier than with other hybrids, such as F1 Estafeta. The hybrid’s yield reaches 26–28 kg per square meter by July 1st, 4.5–11 kg/m² during the first month of fruiting, and up to 32–37 kg/m² in extended rotations.

Hybrid TSXA 28 exhibits resistance to several diseases, including cucumber mosaic virus, olive spot, and moderate resistance to root rots. Thanks to these qualities and high productivity, cucumber TSXA 28 is recommended for cultivation in protected ground, especially in winter greenhouses and polytunnels, ensuring a stable and high-quality yield under various climatic conditions.
