BALCONIC WONDER

Cucumber variety 'Balconic Wonder' — this is a medium-early parthenocarpic hybrid, specially bred for cultivation in home conditions, on balconies and windowsills. Its compact root system allows successful cultivation in standard containers and trays, making this variety an ideal choice for urban gardeners. Fruits reach 7-8 cm in length, have a cylindrical shape, medium-ribbed surface, and a pleasant sweet-tasting refreshing flavor without bitterness, which is genetically absent in this variety. Yield is high — up to 15 kg per square meter, and the maturation period is 45 to 55 days, allowing for fresh cucumbers several times a year.

'Balconic Wonder' is resistant to diseases such as powdery mildew, as well as drought and shady conditions, which simplifies care and increases the chances of successful fruiting. The plant is self-pollinating, eliminating the need to attract insects for pollination. For cultivation, use a nutrient-rich peat substrate with regular application of fertilizers such as nitrofoska and urea. Before planting, seeds should be soaked and sown at a depth of 1-2 cm at an air temperature of +20 to +22 degrees. After the emergence of 3-4 leaves, pinch the plant and guide lateral shoots onto trellises or supports, which promotes better growth and fruiting.

This variety is versatile and suitable not only for indoor cultivation but also for greenhouses and open ground, provided planting occurs after soil warming in May.
