Kamyshhevskiy 1 – is a variety of narrow-headed oatgrass (Agropyron desertorum). It was developed by the Federal Scientific Center of Agronomy and Complex Reclamation, as well as Protective Forestry of the Russian Academy of Sciences. The variety is characterized by high resistance to adverse climatic conditions and good adaptability to various soil types.
The crop has excellent grain yield and high protein content, making it in demand both in agriculture and the food industry. Thanks to the narrow spikelet structure, oatgrass is easily processed on mechanical machines and is suitable for flour and grain production.
The variety Kamyshhevskiy 1 is widely used as a fodder crop for livestock and is also used in agrolandscape design due to its decorative appearance. Its drought resistance and low fertilizer requirements make it an economically viable choice for farmers seeking to reduce production costs.
