KRASNOKUTSKY 6

Elymus elongatus "Krasnokutsky 6" is a high-yield variety developed at the Krasnokutskaya Breeding and Experimental Station of the Southern-Eastern Scientific Agricultural Research Institute (NIISKH). It features an upright bush and a wide-panicle inflorescence 6.5 cm long, ensuring high yield potential for both green mass and seeds. The linear-lanceolate seeds (length 0.4 cm, width 0.1 cm) have a purity of at least 95% and germination of 85%, confirming their quality in accordance with GOST 52325-2005.

The variety demonstrates resistance to drought, heat, and trampling by livestock during grazing use. The growth period from sprouting to the first cut is approximately 56 days, while the full cycle to seed harvest is 100-102 days. Thanks to these characteristics, "Krasnokutsky 6" ensures a 13.4% increase in green mass yield and a 14.6% increase in hay yield, as well as approximately a 33% increase in seed output. This makes it an attractive choice for farmers seeking to improve production efficiency.

The variety has been recognized in the State Register of Breeding Achievements since 1999 and is widely used both as a fodder crop and for seed sowing.
