Crested Wheatgrass NOGAYSKY 1

Drought-Resistant Forage Solutions: Nogaysky 1

The «Nogaysky 1» wheatgrass variety, developed by the Federal Agrarian Research Center (FANRC) of the Republic of Dagestan, is a specialized crop designed for challenging environments. Created by experts I.R. Gamidov, D.M. Yusupova, and G.U. Gasanov, this variety stands out as a reliable forage source for arid and semi-arid regions.

Key Operational Strengths

• Reliable Height: Growing between 80–100 cm, the plants provide a consistent biomass yield suitable for hay harvesting.
• Soil Conservation: The extensive root system helps mitigate wind erosion and restores soil structure in degraded pastures.
• Resilience: Unlike shorter-lived forage grasses, «Nogaysky 1» is characterized by long-term durability, maintaining its productivity over many years.

What differentiates «Nogaysky 1» from other varieties is its specific adaptation to climate stress. While standard grasses often fail in dry seasons, this variety maintains its physiological cycle, ensuring farmers have a guaranteed feed supply regardless of weather fluctuations. It thrives where others struggle, minimizing the need for constant re-seeding.

Ideal for: Agricultural operations focusing on pasture restoration or those located in arid zones requiring low-maintenance, high-stability perennial crops. «Nogaysky 1» is the go-to choice for sustainable grazing management and reliable forage production in tough environments.
