Twist

Twist — mid-early simple modified hybrid corn with maturity group FAO 270, developed by the Institute of Grain Crops of NAAN Ukraine and the company MAIS. This hybrid is intended for grain production and is characterized by high yield potential, reaching 120-135 c/ha. Plants reach a height of 255-265 cm, with ear attachment height of 90-100 cm, ear length of 19-21 cm, and 16-18 rows of kernels with 37-39 kernels per row. Grain is yellow, dent-type, with 1000 kernel weight of 290-300 g, and has a harvesting moisture content of 15-16%.

Hybrid Twist is characterized by high adaptability to various climatic conditions, ensuring stable yield even under stress conditions. It has high energy for initial growth and rapid moisture release from kernels during ripening, which facilitates efficient harvest. Grain yield after milling is 83-85%, indicating high hybrid quality.

Resistance of Twist to major diseases and stress factors is one of its key advantages. The hybrid has high resistance ratings to drought (8.5 out of 10), cold (9 out of 10), lodging (9 out of 10), fusarium (9 out of 10), smut diseases (9 out of 10), and stem borer (9 out of 10). Recommended planting density depends on soil moisture conditions: 55–60 thousand/ha under insufficient moisture and 75–80 thousand/ha under sufficient moisture. Thanks to these characteristics, Twist is a reliable choice for various regions of Ukraine, ensuring high yield and grain quality.
