Maize Mas 33.A

Stable yields with minimal risk

Working with the Maisadour Semences «Mas 33.A» hybrid, you immediately realize that the French focus was on reliability. When walking into a field with dent corn, the main task is to maximize the output per hectare without worrying about stalk health. In humid autumn conditions, this isn't just marketing jargon—it's genuine insurance against losing grain quality.

Field performance and agronomic tips

Regarding seeding density, stick to the recommended 75,000–80,000 plants per hectare. With this approach, the ear forms evenly, and the grain fills out properly. Despite its high yield potential (FAO 330), the hybrid has excellent dry-down properties. This is crucial for saving on drying costs—less time in the dryer means lower gas and electricity bills.

• Phytosanitary control: High resistance to fusarium and helminthosporium allows for more flexible fungicide application planning, without the fear of sudden disease outbreaks.
• Operational efficiency: As a simple hybrid, it provides uniform emergence. It is easier for the combine to process, with no issues regarding header clogging.
• Productivity: The dent grain ensures a high commercial yield during threshing. For those farming for grain, this is exactly what is needed.

If you are looking for a predictable crop that forgives minor agronomic oversights and delivers stable results, this Maisadour hybrid is worth every penny. It is a workhorse for farmers focused on results rather than low-yield experimentation.
