Maize KUBANSKIY 601 SV

Stability and Yield Potential

The KUBANSKIY 601 SV hybrid from NPO Kos-Mais is a classic example of a late-maturing four-line complex hybrid. Developed by a breeding team led by Vitaliy Garkushka and Olga Tsaregorodtseva, this variety has established a strong presence in regions with long growing seasons, where maximum output per hectare is critical.

Agronomic Profile and Resilience

The core of the KUBANSKIY 601 SV productivity is its dent-type, yellow-orange grain, which provides a high thousand-kernel weight and excellent threshing performance. Professionals value this hybrid for its comprehensive resistance to key pathogens that threaten corn crops:

• High resistance barrier against common smut and helminthosporiosis.
• Reduced vulnerability to the European corn borer, which significantly lowers the costs associated with insecticide protection.
• Strong tolerance to a complex of fungal infections, such as fusarium.

Purpose and Usage Strategy

Versatility is one of the key strengths of KUBANSKIY 601 SV. The hybrid demonstrates excellent results both when grown for grain and when harvested for silage. Late maturity allows the plant to effectively utilize the potential of solar energy, forming a robust stalk and a well-filled cob. For farmers, this translates into predictable results in intensive agriculture, where adherence to agrotechnology allows the full genetic potential established by the NPO Kos-Mais breeders to be realized.
