RODNIC 179 SV — an early-maturing three-row corn hybrid with FAO 170-180, intended for cultivation as grain or silage. Plants are tall, reaching 240-260 cm in height, well-branched, with ears of weakly conical shape, 20-25 cm long and weighing 110-140 g. Grain is semi-ridged, yellow or yellow-orange, with a 1000-grain weight of 260-290 g, and the number of rows per ear is 14-16. Grain yield at threshing reaches 76-82%, and moisture content at harvest averages around 29.4%. The hybrid is characterized by stable yield and lodging resistance.

The hybrid is resistant to a range of diseases, including southern gummy mildew and bacterial blight, and exhibits moderate resistance to common rust and ear fusarium. It demonstrates good cold tolerance and moderate drought tolerance, allowing successful cultivation under various climatic conditions. The recommended plant density for grain and silage cultivation on dry land is 60,000 plants per hectare, and on irrigated land — 75,000, with a reduction of 5-10,000 plants per hectare recommended in the absence of fertilizers, depending on soil fertility and water availability.

RODNIC 179 SV shows high yield: average grain yield in the Central Chernozem region is around 51.3 centners per hectare, while silage mass yield in various production trials reaches 522 to 664 centners per hectare. Grain protein content is approximately 10.2%, starch content — 72%, ensuring high protein and starch harvest per hectare. Dry matter content in green mass reaches 28.3%, and protein — 8.8%, making the hybrid valuable for animal feed. The hybrid responds well to fertilizers, allowing increased productivity with proper agronomic practices.
