MAŠUK 250 SV — this is a mid-early three-line hybrid corn, intended for grain and silage production. Plants are tall, reaching a height of 230–250 cm, with semi-erect dark green leaves. The ear is weakly conical, 20–22 cm long, with 14–16 rows of kernels. The 1000-kernel weight is 280 g, the kernels are toothed, with yellow upper and orange lower parts. The hybrid is characterized by rapid grain moisture reduction during maturation and resistance to stem breakage below the ear during vegetation. The hybrid has high drought and heat resistance, making it suitable for cultivation in various climatic conditions, including the Central, Central Chernozem, Middle Volga, Lower Volga, and West Siberian regions. It is resistant to southern helminthosporium and powdery mildew, slightly affected by blister mildew, but susceptible to ear bacterial and fusarium diseases, as well as damage from corn borer. Recommended plant density varies depending on moisture conditions: 70,000 per hectare under sufficient moisture, 80–90,000 under irrigation, and 60,000 in dry zones. MAŠUK 250 SV exhibits an intensive growth type and good early development, contributing to high yields. In production plantings, grain yields reached 8.7–8.9 t/ha, and silage mass yields — up to 57 t/ha. The grain contains 9.15% protein, 67.89% starch, 2.23% sugar, 4.37% fat, 1.53% fiber, and 1.05% ash, ensuring its high nutritional value. The hybrid received a bronze medal at the Russian Agro-Industrial Exhibition 'Golden Autumn' and is recommended for widespread use in agriculture.
