Description KRAZNOYARSKY 282 MV
KRAZNOYARSKY 282 MV — this is a medium-early hybrid of corn (Zea mays L.) with a vegetation period of 105–110 days and FAO maturity class 280. The hybrid is characterized by high resistance to lodging and stem breakage, as well as drought and heat tolerance, making it a reliable choice for cultivation in the Central Chernozem and North Caucasus regions of Russia. The leaves of the plant are slightly curved, and anthocyanic pigmentation of roots and spikelet sheaths is absent or very weakly expressed. Flowering time of the tassel varies from early to medium.

The hybrid is distinguished by high yield: in the Central Chernozem region, the average yield is about 62–67 c/ha, and in the North Caucasus region — 51–56 c/ha. The grain yield at threshing reaches 83%, indicating high efficiency of seed utilization. KRAZNOYARSKY 282 MV is resistant to southern gnomosporiosis and weakly affected by common smut. However, it is moderately susceptible to stalk rot and ear rot, and severely damaged by corn borer.

This hybrid is suitable for intensive farming in regions with moderate climate, ensuring stable and high yields even under drought and heat conditions. Thanks to its agronomic characteristics and disease resistance, KRAZNOYARSKY 282 MV is a promising choice for farmers aiming to increase productivity and quality of corn grain.
