MASHUK 390 MV

MASHUK 390 MV is a medium-maturing, simple, two-row hybrid maize (Zea mays L.) intended for universal use in grain and silage production. Plants are medium-height with dark green, ericoid leaf arrangement, reaching 230–250 cm. The ear is weakly conical, 18–20 cm long, attached at 80–100 cm height. The grain is intermediate type, closer to dent, with yellow upper part and yellow-orange lower part. The 1000-grain weight is approximately 230 g. The grain contains 9.17% protein, 67.95% starch, 2.28% sugar, 4.24% fat, 1.16% fiber, and 0.86% ash.

The hybrid exhibits high resistance to southern helminthosporiosis, stem breakage below the ear during stand, and resistance to stalk rot and common smut. However, it is susceptible to ear bacterial disease and fusarium ear rot, and is moderately damaged by corn borer. The plant possesses high drought tolerance and high responsiveness to fertilizers and irrigation, allowing significant yield increases under optimal growing conditions.

The hybrid’s vegetation period averages 115–125 days, with early-to-medium flowering time. Recommended plant density per hectare for grain and silage harvest is 55,000 plants on dryland and up to 70,000 under irrigation. Yield in production fields reaches 9–10 tons of grain per hectare, confirmed by trials across various regions.
