INTERCROP 285 MV

The INTERCROP 285 MV corn hybrid is a simple linear hybrid intended for silage and grain production. It is included in the State Register for the Central, Central Chernozem, and North Caucasus regions, confirming its adaptability to various climatic conditions. The plant has a medium-early maturity with a vegetative period of about 110 days, and the tassel flowering time varies from early to medium. Plant height ranges from medium to very high, contributing to high yield and lodging resistance.

The ear is of medium length and thickness, with a short shank and medium number of rows of kernels. The kernels are dent-shaped, predominantly yellow in the upper part. The plant has narrow leaves of medium width, as well as weak anthocyanic pigmentation of the husk and silk. The hybrid shows resistance to southern helminthosporium and low susceptibility to ear rot, but is susceptible to bacterial disease and suffers severe damage from stalk borer and ear fungal infection.

Average grain yield in the Central Chernozem region reaches 68.5 centners per hectare, and normalized dry matter yield — 143.3 centners per hectare, exceeding standard values by 5.9 and 13.4 centners per hectare respectively. In the North Caucasus region, grain yield ranges from 57.6–88.0 centners per hectare, with normalized dry matter yield also above standard. The hybrid is suitable for conventional and minimal tillage, as well as for irrigation, making it a versatile choice for various agronomic conditions. Recommended for cultivation in Voronezh and Kursk Oblasts, Krasnodar and Stavropol Krai, as well as in the Republic of Adygea.
