Maïs 226 MV

The Maïs 226 MV maize hybrid is a mid-early maturing variety with high yield potential up to 8.2 tons per hectare. Plants reach a height of approximately 210 cm, with ear attachment height of 110 cm. The ears are conical in shape with 14-16 rows of kernels, which have a dent type and matte-yellow color. The 1000-kernel weight varies from 280 to 370 grams, and the grain yield is 77-81%. The intensity of grain drying after physiological maturity is low, facilitating harvesting and storage.

The hybrid features strong anthocyanin pigmentation of the stalk and weakly erect leaf orientation. The stalk exhibits high resistance to lodging (rating 9) and good resistance to diseases and pests, including common smut and corn borer (rating 7). The ear has a large stalk diameter and a short stem up to 5 cm in length, with medium flexibility and strong attachment.

Maïs 226 MV is recommended for cultivation in various agro-climatic zones of Ukraine, including Polissia, Forest-Steppe, and Steppe.
