Corn KWS FORTUNATO is a high-yielding, plastic hybrid with enhanced drought resistance and rapid early development. This hybrid is characterized by a high yield potential of up to 20 tons of grain per hectare, making it an effective choice for cultivation in various climatic zones. Plants are compact, with erectoid habit and remontant leaf type, which promotes optimal space utilization and improved water release, occurring very quickly.
Morphological characteristics of corn KWS FORTUNATO include plant height of 270–280 cm and ear attachment height of 110–120 cm. The kernel type is dent, arranged in 16 rows, with 38–42 kernels per row, and 1000 kernel weight of 330–360 grams. These parameters ensure stable and high-quality yield formation, which is particularly important for grain-oriented use.
Recommendations for planting density at harvest depend on water availability: under adequate moisture, optimal density is 70–80 thousand plants per hectare, under moderate moisture — 55–65 thousand, and under insufficient moisture — 45–55 thousand. Seeds are supplied in packages of 50 thousand, as well as in bags of 80 thousand seeds, which is convenient for various agricultural production scales. The hybrid is produced in Germany and belongs to the FAO maturity group 360, enabling planning of sowing and harvest dates according to regional climatic conditions.
