Corn hybrid Kharkovskaya 126 MV is a medium-early line with medium yellow kernels and plant height of about 220-240 cm. The plant has a straight leaf of medium width, weak anthocyanic coloring of the sheath of the first leaf and roots, as well as medium ear density. The ear is medium in length and thickness, slightly conical, with a red core and well-developed tip. The kernel is tooth-shaped, with 1000 kernels weighing approximately 280-290 g, providing high grain yield up to 84-85%.
The hybrid exhibits high drought and cold resistance, rated at 4.7 points. It is tolerant to diseases such as stalk rot, gray leaf spot, and powdery mildew, and resistant to damage by corn borer at a level not lower than standard. The vegetation period is approximately 110-131 days depending on the growing zone, corresponding to medium-early maturity (FAO 280-290). Recommended for cultivation in steppe and forest-steppe zones, where it demonstrates high yields exceeding national standards.
The ear forms at a height of about 80-95 cm, with a length of 22-26 cm and 16 rows of kernels. The hybrid features high potential yield up to 11-11.2 t/ha and contains approximately 9% protein in the grain. Seed production is conducted on a sterile basis with full fertility restoration. A two-component fungicidal seed treatment is applied to protect the seeds, ensuring effective disease control and facilitating the acquisition of high-quality yield.
