Description Codisco
Corn CODISCO is a medium-early simple hybrid of grain corn developed by the French company CAUSSADE SEMENCES SA. This variety is included in the State Register for the Central Chernozem region and is intended for grain production. The plant is of medium height with straight leaves of medium width and an ear of cylindrical shape of medium length and thickness. The kernels are creamy with an orange coloration on the upper part, ensuring high-quality harvest. The vegetation period is approximately 121 days, corresponding to average maturation time for this region. CODISCO is characterized by high yield: the average grain yield in the region reaches 88.5 c/ha, which is 19.1% higher than the standard level, and the maximum yield amounted to 127.8 c/ha. The grain moisture at harvest is at 29%, facilitating harvesting and storage. The hybrid is resistant to stalk rot and moderately susceptible to gray leaf spot, enhancing its reliability under various agroclimatic conditions. In field conditions, the plant suffers moderate damage from corn borer. Features of inflorescence and leaf structure, such as absence or weak anthocyanic pigmentation of roots, glumes, and husk, as well as medium density of kernels, contribute to good development and formation of yield. CODISCO is suitable for cultivation in the Central Chernozem region and is a reliable choice for farmers aiming to obtain high-quality grain with high productivity.
