Agronomic potential and grain quality

Varta MV is a simple hybrid with dent-type grain, which provides high processing convenience during harvesting and storage. Key parameters include:

• Starch content reaching 74%, making it a valuable raw material for both fodder production and industrial processing.
• Versatile use: the hybrid performs well for both grain production and silage harvesting.
• Planting density: the recommended density is 50,000–55,000 plants per hectare for optimal results.

Pathogen resistance and field performance

A major strength of this hybrid is its genetically determined resistance to major diseases affecting crops in Ukraine. Varta MV demonstrates effective resistance to common smut and stem rots, minimizing potential harvest losses.
