Variety distinguishing features. Variety with silica-like teeth (ssp.semidenta). Plant height 270-290 cm. Ear attachment height 90-95 cm. Leaf number 15-16. Ear length 22-24 cm. Row of kernels 16-18. Kernel yield 82-84%. Ear stalk red. 1000 kernel mass 280-290 g.
Biological features. Medium-early maturity group FAO 240. Duration from emergence to full maturity 105-108 days. Early growth rate fast. Cold resistance high. Drought resistance high. Resistance to lodging high. Resistance to ear drooping high. Resistance to aerial smut high. Resistance to bubble smut high. Resistance to stalk rot high. Resistance to corn borer high.
Agronomic features. Potential grain yield 10.5-11.0 t/ha. Recommended planting density for Forest-steppe 60-62 thousand/ha and for Polissia 65-67 thousand/ha. Harvest moisture 23-25%. Potential green mass yield 53.0-55.0 t/ha. Dry matter content in green mass 32-33%. Protein content in grain 10.2%. Starch content 72.0%.
Hybrid seed production is conducted on sterile M-type basis according to full restoration scheme without panicle abortion. Sterility of maternal form 99-100%. Optimal planting scheme of parental forms on hybridization sites 12:4; 6:2. Yield of conditioned seeds under high agronomic practices reaches 2.0-2.5 t/ha.
