ES SCORPION corn seeds are a mid-season simple hybrid with FAO 290, designed to produce a stable grain yield under various soil-climatic conditions in Ukraine, including Steppe, Forest-Steppe, and Polissia zones. The hybrid is characterized by high adaptability and can effectively develop even under stressful conditions, making it a versatile choice for different regions. Its erectoid leaf shape promotes more efficient use of solar energy for photosynthesis, enhancing yield potential.
ES SCORPION exhibits rapid grain moisture loss during maturation, allowing for early and efficient harvest. The ear has a cylindrical shape with a slender stalk, facilitating harvesting. The hybrid has high drought resistance (9 points), good cold tolerance (8 points), and a high initial growth rate (8-9 points). In addition, it is resistant to major corn diseases such as root and stalk rot, as well as gray leaf spot, ensuring reliable cultivation.
Recommended planting density depends on moisture conditions: 70–80 thousand plants per hectare under sufficient moisture, 60–70 thousand under unstable conditions, and 45–55 thousand under insufficient moisture. The hybrid is suitable for early planting at soil temperatures of +6–8°C, with optimal planting at +9–12°C at planting depth. High rates of sulfonylurea herbicides are not recommended for cultivation. ES SCORPION combines high productivity, resistance to adverse factors, and convenient agronomy, making it an advantageous choice for farmers.
