Corn KWS 2370 is a high-yielding, remontant hybrid of the grain type, developed by the German producer KWS. It belongs to the medium-early maturity group with FAO 280 and is characterized by stability and high performance under various climatic and soil conditions, especially performing well in the forest-steppe zone of Ukraine and Polissia. The hybrid is suitable for cultivation using both intensive and extensive technologies, making it a versatile choice for different agrotechnical systems.
Plants reach a height of 290-300 cm, with ears attached at a height of 100-110 cm. The ear contains 14-16 rows of dent kernels, with 37-39 kernels per row. The 1000-kernel weight is 300-310 g. Due to its dent kernel type and the structure of the ear husk, the hybrid exhibits very rapid moisture loss after reaching physiological maturity, which facilitates timely and quality harvest.
Hybrid KWS 2370 has high resistance to lodging and major corn diseases such as helminthosporium and gray leaf spot, and also demonstrates high drought tolerance and cold resistance. It is well-suited for early planting and exhibits rapid early growth. The potential grain yield reaches 170 ц/ha, with average yields in practice ranging from 110 to 138 ц/ha. The recommended plant density at harvest varies depending on soil moisture levels: 45-55 тыс./ha under insufficient moisture to 80-90 тыс./ha under adequate moisture.
