Description SY Octavius
SY Octavius corn seeds are a medium-maturing hybrid with high adaptability, designed for cultivation in various soil-climate conditions, including Steppe, Forest-Steppe, and Polесьe zones. The hybrid features erect leaf morphology, which enhances solar energy utilization for photosynthesis and ensures high yield potential even under stress conditions. Thanks to its robust root system and strong stem, SY Octavius demonstrates excellent resistance to adverse factors such as drought and diseases.

The hybrid exhibits high drought tolerance and rapid water release, enabling early and efficient harvest. The recommended plant density at harvest varies depending on soil moisture levels: 70–80 thousand plants per hectare under adequate moisture, 60–70 thousand under unstable conditions, and 45–55 thousand under insufficient moisture. Seeds are suitable for early sowing at temperatures between +6 to +12 °C and optimal planting depth, promoting rapid early development and successful rooting.

SY Octavius shows high resistance to major corn diseases, including root and stalk rot, as well as common smut, confirmed by high tolerance scores. The hybrid is recommended for cultivation using conventional, extensive, and conservation tillage practices, while high rates of sulfonylurea herbicides are not advised. These characteristics make SY Octavius a reliable choice for achieving stable and high corn yields.
