Elegia MV is a simple modified hybrid corn with a vegetative period of 109-112 days. The plant is tall, reaching 260-270 cm in height, and does not bush. It forms 15-17 leaves on the main stem, and the ear is cylindrical, 22-23 cm long, with 16 rows of kernels and 40-42 kernels per row. The ear stalk is red, the kernels are yellow, cream-colored and toothed, with a 1000-kernel weight of 290-300 g. Grain yield reaches 79-85%, indicating high hybrid productivity. The Elegia MV hybrid is characterized by high resistance to adverse factors: drought, lodging, cold tolerance, disease and pest resistance, scoring 9 out of 9 in each of these characteristics. This makes it a reliable choice for cultivation under various climatic conditions. Recommended cultivation zones include the Steppe, Forest-Steppe, and Polissia regions of Ukraine, where the hybrid shows stable and high yields. Elegia MV is versatile in use — suitable both for grain production and silage production. Potential grain yield is 12.0–12.5 t/ha, and silage yield — 50.0–65.0 t/ha. The hybrid responds well to improved growing conditions, allowing farmers to achieve maximum output with optimal agronomic practices. Due to its characteristics and high productivity, Elegia MV is widely used in Ukrainian agriculture.
