Corn hybrid Soloniansky 298 SV is a medium-early variety with FAO 290-310, recommended for cultivation in the Polesie, forest-steppe, and steppe zones. The plant reaches a height of 250-260 cm, has weak branching, and exhibits high resistance to lodging and stem breakage. Approximately 16 leaves form on the main stem, which promotes good photosynthesis and plant development. The nearly cylindrical ear, 21-23 cm long, has 16-18 rows of kernels, with 36-40 kernels per row, and a red-colored ear stalk. The ear attachment height is 80-90 cm.

The kernels are yellow, dent-shaped, with a 1000-kernel weight ranging from 280-310 g, indicating high quality seed material. The hybrid demonstrates high cold and drought resistance, ensuring stable growth and yield even under adverse weather conditions. Additionally, the variety shows high resistance to major diseases and pests, reducing the need for intensive plant protection and enhancing economic efficiency of cultivation.

The potential grain yield is 13.0-13.5 t/ha, while silage yield reaches 60-65 t/ha, making this hybrid versatile for both grain and silage use. The recommended pre-harvest planting density varies depending on the cultivation zone: for Polesie — 75-80 thousand plants per hectare, for forest-steppe — 70-75 thousand, and for steppe — 45-50 thousand plants per hectare.
