Corn Dneprovsky 215 SV is a simple modified hybrid developed by Ukrainian breeders. This mid-season variety features a strong root system and high resistance to drought, diseases, and pests, ensuring stable yields under various climatic conditions. Plants reach a height of 200–215 cm, do not lodge, and exhibit good resistance to lodging and stem breakage. Cobs are cylindrical, 20–23 cm long, attached at a height of 80–90 cm, with toothed kernels of yellow-orange color and a siliceous-toothed structure, weighing 280–320 g per 1000 kernels.
The hybrid is characterized by high yield potential: grain yield ranges from 9.3 to 13.8 t/ha, with a grain extraction rate of 83.5%. Additionally, the variety responds well to application of mineral fertilizers and improved agrofond, showing adaptability to denser planting. Due to its high drought resistance and resistance to corn borer and other pests, Dneprovsky 215 SV is suitable for cultivation in various regions, including the Forest-Steppe, Steppe, and Polesie.
This hybrid is recommended for use both as grain and for silage, making it a versatile choice for agricultural enterprises. High silage mass yield reaches 580–630 centners/ha, further enhancing economic efficiency. Early growth start and good seedling uniformity ensure optimal conditions for yield formation, while low grain moisture at harvest simplifies storage and processing.
