Maize KRASNODNPR 300 MV

Technical profile and genetic background

"Krasnodnepr 300 MV" is a modified single-cross maize hybrid resulting from the collaboration of Ukrainian and Russian agricultural research centers. The core engineering objective in developing this hybrid was to stabilize yield under moderate climatic conditions by leveraging the high adaptability of its dent-type grain.

Phytosanitary resistance

The primary advantage of this hybrid is its comprehensive, genetically embedded resistance to various pathogens and pests. Under field conditions, the plant demonstrates robust resilience against the following threats:

• Smut diseases: High resistance to both common (boil) smut and loose smut, which is critical for maintaining ear integrity during the maturation phase.
• Pest pressure: Targeted breeding efforts against onion stalk smut and defense mechanisms against the European corn borer allow for minimal biomass loss during pest outbreaks.

Agronomic performance and grain potential

The modified single-cross structure ensures uniform crop emergence and predictable phenological stages. With a FAO rating of 300, "Krasnodnepr" is classified as a mid-season hybrid optimized for commercial grain production. The yellow-orange dent-type grain possesses high test weight, facilitating efficient drying and storage processes. The high ear-filling capacity is achieved through intensive assimilant utilization during the grain-filling stage, making this hybrid a competitive choice for intensive grain production operations.
