Corn DMS Oniks

Field Strategy of DMS Onyx

The DMS Onyx maize hybrid, officially registered in Ukraine in 2026, is an F1 generation breeding product designed for stability under challenging climatic conditions. The primary focus during the development of this hybrid was physiological resilience under stress.

Response to Climatic Threats

In field conditions, DMS Onyx demonstrates significant tolerance to moisture deficit. The hybrid's genetic architecture allows it to maintain metabolic activity even during peak temperatures at flowering, minimizing the risk of barren stalks. The root system exhibits a high regeneration rate, which is crucial for regions with unpredictable rainfall patterns.

Agronomic Reliability

• Lodging Resistance: The stalk possesses high elasticity and structural strength, preventing breakage even under strong winds late in the growing season.
• Phytosanitary Profile: The hybrid features complex resistance to major maize pathogens, including ear and stalk fusarium, reducing the need for intensive fungicide applications.
• Adaptation Zones: Onyx shows excellent plasticity, adapting well to both intensive cultivation technologies and extensive farming methods across the Steppe and Forest-Steppe zones of Ukraine.

Choosing this hybrid is a strategic decision for achieving predictable yields in environments where other varieties lose potential due to weather anomalies.
