Corn REDFORD

Field Strategy of the REDFORD Hybrid

French breeding company Lidea France SAS introduced the REDFORD hybrid in 2026, focusing on stability amidst climate volatility. This F1 corn hybrid was engineered as a reliable tool for farmers operating in regions prone to moisture deficits.

Stress Adaptability

The key feature of REDFORD is its physiological response to extreme temperatures. In the field, the hybrid demonstrates high tolerance to both atmospheric and soil drought. The plant maintains metabolic processes even under critical heat stress, minimizing the risk of growth stagnation during the flowering phase.

• Lodging Resistance: A robust root system and a strong stalk ensure stability even under heavy wind loads at the end of the growing season.
• Phytosanitary Profile: The hybrid's genetic base includes enhanced resistance to major corn pathogens, reducing the need for intensive fungicide applications.
• Cultivation Zones: It optimally realizes its potential in the Steppe and Forest-Steppe regions of Ukraine, where the crop's ability to dry down quickly during maturation is critical.

REDFORD does not require complex agronomic interventions, though it performs best when the seeding density recommended by the originator for specific soil types is strictly followed. It is a strategic choice for those prioritizing a predictable harvest in unstable weather conditions.
