Corn ZARGUNO

Field Strategy of ZARGUNO

The French breeding program of KWS SAAT SE & Co. KGaA introduced this hybrid to the Ukrainian registry in 2026, focusing on stability amidst unpredictable climate patterns. ZARGUNO is designed for growers operating in regions with high risks of heat and moisture stress.

Stress Adaptability

The core strength of this hybrid lies in its ability to maintain productivity during water deficits. Its F1 genetic architecture enables the plant to manage transpiration efficiently, which is critical during the flowering stage. In the field, the hybrid demonstrates high tolerance to sudden temperature spikes, ensuring yield potential remains intact during prolonged heatwaves.

Phytosanitary Profile and Resilience

• Lodging: A robust root system and a sturdy stalk provide excellent resistance to lodging, even during late harvests, effectively minimizing grain losses.
• Diseases: KWS breeding traditionally prioritizes ear health. ZARGUNO exhibits strong resistance to major corn pathogens, significantly reducing the risk of mycotoxin development.

This hybrid reaches its full potential in intensive farming regions where a combination of high yield and predictable crop behavior throughout the entire growing season is essential.
