DMC 3411

DMC 3411 — mid-season hybrid of sweet corn, developed by the Ukrainian company «Maïs». This hybrid belongs to the FAO group 340-360 and is intended for cultivation in Ukraine. It is versatile in terms of usage, suitable both for grain production and silage. Due to its above-average cold tolerance, DMC 3411 is recommended to be sown at optimal early dates when soil temperature is not lower than +10°C.

The hybrid is characterized by high resistance to major pests and diseases, including gray leaf spot and corn borer, and also exhibits high resistance to lodging. Plant height reaches approximately 250 cm, and the number of rows of kernels varies from 16 to 18. Drought and heat tolerance of the hybrid is rated at 9 points, ensuring stable yield formation even under adverse climatic conditions. The vegetation period ranges from 108 to 124 days depending on the cultivation region — from southern steppe to forest-steppe.

DMC 3411 demonstrates high yield potential: in steppe regions it can reach 12.5 t/ha, in forest-steppe — up to 14.9 t/ha, and in forested areas — up to 15.0 t/ha. At harvest, grain moisture varies depending on region and sowing date, allowing flexible planning of harvesting technology. The hybrid is well adapted to resource-saving and minimized cultivation technologies, matures in the green leaf stage with moderate moisture loss, and the ears’ husks open, facilitating harvest.
