Coriander Early

Practical Field Implementation

The «Ranniy» (Early) cilantro variety, developed by the Research Institute of Agriculture of Crimea, is a specialized cultivar designed for growers focusing on the fresh-market leaf segment. Its primary value in a commercial operation is its ability to produce high-quality foliage within a short growth window.

Key Advantages for Commercial Growers

• Leaf-Focused Production: The cultivar is bred specifically for vegetative development. It prioritizes the production of a dense, lush rosette, which is the standard requirement for marketable bunches.
• Early Market Access: As the name implies, its early maturation cycle allows producers to harvest during the first weeks of the season, capturing premium pricing before the peak supply hits the market.
• Operational Efficiency: The variety exhibits strong germination energy and uniform growth, which simplifies mechanical maintenance and standardized harvesting processes. It remains in the leaf stage for a considerable time, delaying the onset of bolting.

In farm operations, «Ranniy» is an excellent candidate for successional sowing. It responds well to controlled irrigation and strategic nitrogen application, which are critical for maximizing the weight of each individual plant. Whether utilized in open-field intensive farming or protected cultivation, it provides the reliability needed for a tight, high-turnover harvest schedule. For growers looking to minimize risk in early spring production, this variety offers the necessary resilience to withstand fluctuating temperatures while maintaining consistent quality.
