Coriandrum sativum variety Yalos is an annual herbaceous plant widely used as a spice and aromatic crop. It is characterized by a medium height of about 56 cm and green leaves with a medium degree of laceration. The flowers are white, and the seeds are spherical, dark brown, with a mass of 1000 seeds of about 11.5 g. The vegetative period is 107 days, which allows for a stable seed harvest with a high oil content. Seed yield reaches 13.1 centners per hectare, with fat oil content in seeds at 23.2%, essential oil at 2.1%, and linalool content in essential oil reaching 92.4%.
Coriandrum sativum Yalos is resistant to lodging, shattering, and drought, and also possesses high disease resistance and is minimally damaged by coriander weevil. The plant is well adapted to various growing conditions, preferring light loam or sandy, non-acidic soils rich in organic matter. It is cold-hardy, capable of germinating at temperatures of 4–5°C and withstanding brief frosts down to -6°C. For optimal growth, temperatures no lower than 19–20°C are required, as well as regular irrigation during the period of active green mass growth and flowering.
