METIS is a species of red clover (Trifolium pratense L.) intended primarily for fodder use. It belongs to mid-late varieties with a two-cut development cycle. The plants are characterized by medium-long stem height, a medium number of internodes, and weak stem hairiness. The leaflets are narrow, and the seeds have multi-colored seed coats. The average yield of dry matter in green mass reaches 94.2 ц/га with a dry matter content of 23.6%. Red clover METIS is distinguished by its good adaptation to the conditions of the central region, which ensures the stable production of high-quality fodder raw materials. Thanks to its biological features, the variety is resistant to adverse factors and is able to recover effectively after cutting, which makes it profitable for agricultural use. In addition, red clover is widely used not only in fodder production but also for decorative purposes, for example, for creating lawn coverings. It takes root well on various types of soil, does not require frequent watering and the use of fertilizers, is resistant to diseases and pests. This makes it a universal plant for greening courtyards, parks, and flower beds, providing a bright green and stable cover.
