Clover meadow type Atlantis (Trifolium pratense L.) is a diploid tetraploid variety with pink inflorescences and multicolored seeds. The plants have medium stem length and thickness, weak pubescence, and average internode number. Leaflets are of medium size, with a significant portion of plants having white markings on the leaves. Flowering time varies from early to medium, depending on the cultivation region.
The Atlantis variety is included in the State Register in several regions of Russia, including the Northwestern, Central, Northern, Volgo-Vyat, Ural, West Siberian, East Siberian, and Far Eastern regions. Recommended for cultivation in various natural-climatic zones, such as lowland and foothill taiga zones, northern lowland and foothill forest-steppe zones, and the Kaliningrad region. During testing, the variety demonstrated high disease resistance, although some regions reported susceptibility to anthracnose.
Atlantis shows high dry matter yield, exceeding standards in most regions. In the Kaliningrad region, maximum yield reached 238.6 centners/ha, 34.7 centners/ha above the standard. In the Northern region, average yield was 80.1 centners/ha, 11.3 centners/ha above the standard, and in the Central region — 71.6 centners/ha, 0.8 centners/ha above the standard. Due to its characteristics and adaptability, the Atlantis variety is a promising choice for agricultural production under various climatic conditions in Russia.
