Seedling from open pollination of Lyubskaya. Originator — Tatarian Research Institute of Fruit Growing. Authors: A.M. Tveritinov, L.A. Sevastyanova. Introduced into the State Register in 1993 for the Volga-Vyatka region.
Medium-sized tree; crown broadly inverted pyramidal, medium density and foliage; buds medium, vegetative conical, generative egg-shaped, strongly deviated from the shoot; leaf oval, dark green; anthocyanin absent, apex obtuse-pointed, base rounded, serration of edge double-toothed, surface of blade matte, pubescence on underside in angles between central and lateral veins, blade slightly folded like a boat; petiole medium length and thickness, color with anthocyanin on ¾ of length; flower: corolla saucer-shaped, petals white, touching, stigma positioned at the same level as stamens. Flowering and fruiting type — predominantly on bouquet branches.
Fruit: mass 3.6 g, height 20 mm, width 19 mm, thickness 17 mm, shape broadly oval, cavity small, apex broadly rounded with small pit; color nearly black, flesh and juice dark red, flesh density medium. Peduncle 45 mm, medium, thin; stone oval, mass 0.2 g, constitutes 5.6% of fruit mass, light brown, apex narrowly rounded, base narrowly rounded, detachment from flesh medium.
Fruit appearance excellent; flesh juiciness medium; flavor very good, slightly acidic-sweet; detachment from peduncle dry; not suitable for mechanized harvesting; fruit cracking resistance medium; usage universal. Sugar content — 9.9%, free acids — 1.3%, dry matter — 15.1%, ascorbic acid — 11.8 mg/100g.
Flowering period — 2nd-3rd decade of May; ripening medium, uneven; age of fruiting late (on 4th year after planting); plant longevity — 18-20 years; self-sterile. Yield — 9.3 t/ha. Tree, branches, and generative buds moderately resistant to winter frosts; moderate susceptibility to coccomycosis, gummosis (gommosis), and cherry sawfly. Not suitable for intensive orchards.
Advantages of the variety: high-quality dessert fruits, good regenerative capacity after frost damage and pruning.
Disadvantages of the variety: uneven fruit ripening, slow development of good yields.
