This variety was obtained by selection from seedlings of open-pollinated 'Zhukovskaya'. Originator — All-Russian Research Institute of Fruit Crop Breeding. Authors: A.F. Kolesnikova, T.S. Zvyagina, G.B. Zhdanova. Introduced into the State Register since 1979 for the Central, Central Chernozem, and North Caucasus regions.
Tree height about 3 m, tree-like, with an inverted pyramid-shaped, slightly raised crown of medium density. Shoots are medium, straight, brownish-brown. Bark on trunk and main branches is grayish-brown. Bud 5.0 mm, conical shape, strongly deviated from the shoot. Leaf narrowly oval, dark green. Apex strongly pointed, base acute, leaf margin doubly toothed. Leaf blade surface glossy, folded like a boat. Stipules 2-4, located at leaf base and petiole. Petiole 21 mm long, with anthocyanic coloration along its entire length. Number of flowers per inflorescence 4. Corolla diameter 24.1 mm, open. Petals white, touching each other. Stigma level with anthers. Stigma length 7.9 mm, anther length 7.9 mm. Calyx shape cup-like, strong toothed. Fruits borne on cluster branches.
Fruits weighing 5.0 g, broad-heart-shaped, height 20.9 mm, width 19.8 mm, thickness 17.9 mm. Fruit depression medium, apex rounded. Fruits dark red. Flesh dark red, juicy, firm, juice dark red. Pedicel length 51 mm. Stone oval, mass 0.4 g, which constitutes 8% of fruit mass, creamy. Apex pointed, base rounded. Stone separates easily from flesh.
Fresh fruit taste score 3.7 points. Sweet-sour flavor. Fruit detachment from pedicel medium. Fruits contain 16.2% soluble solids, 11.17% sugars, 1.51% acids.
Flowering at medium timing (May 12-15). Fruit ripening medium (July 5-15). Begins fruiting at 5 years. Partially self-fertile. Average yield 613 c/ha, maximum 200 c/ha. High winter hardiness, medium bud hardiness. Medium resistance to coccomycosis and moniliosis.
