Supposedly a natural hybrid between the early Morel variety and Vladimirskaya. Originator — Southern Ural Research Institute of Fruit and Vegetable Growing and Potato Growing (YUUNIPOK). Authors: A.E. Pankratova, K.K. Mullaianov, P.M. Nazarov. Introduced into the State Register since 2002 for the Ural region.
The bush is multi-stemmed, composed of 5-6 stems 1.5-3.0 m tall with a trunk 60 cm high and 7-9 cm diameter. The crown is oval-pyramidal, of medium density, with good leafing. The shoot has a silvery appearance, medium thickness, straight, light-brown, slightly hairy, annual shoot length 25-40 cm. Buds are medium-sized, elongated, pointed at the top, curved, smooth. The leaf is oval, short-pointed, medium-sized, 8-9 cm long, 4-5 cm wide, dark green color, apex pointed, base tapered, leaf blade flat, smooth, shiny, slightly matte on older trees, leaf margin doubly serrated, with glands at the base of the leaf, hairless. Petiole medium — 1.6 cm, with anthocyanin, stipules absent. Inflorescence has 5-7 flowers, medium-sized, 2.6 cm diameter, pinkish, petals free, occasionally overlapping, oval-lanceolate, wrinkled, petal apex bifid. Stigma is below the anthers, number of stamens 32, flower stalk length 2.5 cm, calyx bell-shaped. Flowering and fruiting type is mixed: 30% on one-year growth, 30% on flower shoots of two-year wood, 40% on multi-year wood.
Fruit: mass 4.5 g, shape broadly round, apex rounded, slightly one-sided depressed, wide cavity, fruit and flesh color dark red, flesh very juicy, medium density, juice red. Peduncle long — 5 cm, medium, easily separates from the branch, attachment to the stone is weak. Stone is round, large — 0.15-0.17 g, constitutes 5.3-7.1% of fruit mass, creamy, easily separates from the flesh.
Fruit appearance — 5 points, flesh juicy, taste sweet-sour, pleasant, taste rating 4.2 points, easy detachment from the peduncle. The variety is suitable for mechanical harvesting, fruits are resistant to cracking, universal use: for jams, compotes, juices. Dry matter content — 16%, sugars — 10.5%, free acids — 2.2%, ascorbic acid — 9 mg/100g.
Flowering period is medium — May 11-18, early and uniform. Ripening period is medium — July 12-27, simultaneous. Enters fruiting at the 4th year, longevity high — over 20 years, partially self-fertile. Yield 8-10 kg per bush. Winter hardiness of the tree, shoots, and generative buds is medium, as well as spring frost resistance of flowers is medium. Drought and heat resistance are medium. Resistance to coccomycosis is medium, relatively resistant to other diseases and pests. The variety can be used in commercial and hobby gardening.
Advantages of the variety: has long lifespan, can grow as a single-stemmed tree with strong branching at the base, yield 8-10 kg per bush, stable year to year, fruits large and high quality, easily propagated by all methods, especially by rooting green cuttings.
Disadvantages of the variety: has a short flowering period, however, under proper cultivation practices, its value does not decrease.
